| Details: | I called Jeff to inquire about the chlorine residual being provided. The levels reported during monthly routine coliform sampling in March and April 2019 were above the 4 ppm maximum allowable. Jeff said they have been struggling with getting a stable residual maintained. He thinks their initial batch of chlorine was old and as a result very low concentration. When they got a new normal batch the pump settings caused the residual to be very high. He said they are still working with a company to optimize the system and that the water is only used for hand washing and flushing toilets. They provide bottled drinking water. I reminded him that they still have to get the chlorine residual under 4 ppm but maintain a detectable level and they should be testing it and logging the results 2x week in the distribution. He said they are trying for a 0.5 to 1.0 ppm residual. | ||
