Details: | Steve called back and clarified the situation: The well is not cracked. There have been problems with the water quantity and usage. They believe the autobody shop next door may be connected to the system and is using a significant amount of water. There is no system diagram and no flow meter so it is difficult to know for sure. McMullin water installed a new well pump, re-circulation pump, and pressure tank last week. They also searched for leaks throughout the system. They will be conducting post-repair testing and a final search for leaks and will communicate with me as that occurs. I requested Steve send me a copy of the Boil Water Notice that was sent out to water users. I also informed him that we always require communication and a copy of the notice any time they plan on issuing one. They may not lift the notice until repairs and testing are complete and we approve it. |
