| Details: | Kevin had just submitted the Tier 2 public notice for the treatment technique violation in April(for > 5% of turbidity readings > 0.3 NTU) when I was notified that this standard was again violated in May at Coquille. The switch to their "summer" Coquille River source this year has been delayed due to pump problems. So they have continued to use the winter source (Rink Creek Reservoir), even though it has exhibited high turbidity ever since large storms this spring. Because they continued to use Rink Creek Reservoir in June, Kevin expects that the water system may again not meet this turbidity standard in June, so he will hold off on writing another public notice until it is known whether the next notice needs to cover just May or May and June. A copy of the notice distributed to the public for this violation (whether covering just May, or both May and June) must be submitted to the DWS by July 29. | ||
