| Details: | Re: "Required CT Value Not Met at All Times." A new Tracer Study conducted on 4/19/18 confirmed what the recent survey turned up - that Port Orford does not have sufficient contact time to meet CT during worst case conditions (e.g., low winter temperatures). They are pursuing various options with their engineering firm to correct this in the coming months. Meanwhile, 1) they issued a Tier 2 public notice on 5/14/18 for failing to meet the disinfection standards in April (once they plugged in the minutes from the April tracer study), and 2) they raised the chlorine level sufficiently to meet CT every day starting on 5/14/18, as operator Duane Eckhoff informed me today. I notified DMCE that this survey deficiency has been addressed. The water system will receive another treatment technique violation for not meeting CT in early May. | ||
