| Details: | Contacted operator regarding Coliform alert to remind them to take repeat samples as soon as possible. The operator was concerned because a storm knocked over a power pole two weeks earlier along their system and the day I called they were replacing the power pole. Because of the damage and repairs, their system had lost power at least two different times in the previous two weeks. They also replaced a line in the system during this time. Because of the power being off all day when they needed to take the repeat samples, the operator wanted to wait until Monday to take samples to allow their system time to normalize to ensure a natural and accurate test of their water system. I called the State and they advised that waiting until Monday is an option in this particular case. | ||
