Details: Contacted the water system to inform them that we had received an alert for missing their second routine coliform sample for the month of June. This is in regards to the mistaken population change back in April that had doubled their population incorrectly from 500 to 1200. This population has been corrected with information from their 2019 master plan, with the correct population of 497. The sampling schedule is now 1 routine coliform sample per month once again starting August 1, 2019.

While checking their violations page online, we both noted that there was a violation still pending from 2018 as there was a missed VOC test for Xylenes. On the water systems consumer confidence report in 2018, it was mentioned that John Zalaznik here at NCPHD was going to request a waiver of this Xylene test as they had not had a detection since 2014. Contact was made to the state's Michelle Byrd after the conversation with Dawn to see if this was the case. Michelle will contact back with more information on waivers and if there was a request made regarding Barlow.
