| Details: | A private citizen complaint was forwarded to Clatsop concerning arsenic and tthm test results at Sunset Lake RV Park. The complaint initially was sent to David Emme, OHA. The complainant prefers to remain anonymous--contact info is in county hard file. The complainant also expressed concerns about wastewater disposal onsite, and contamination entering the lake from the campground. After confirming via e-mail with the complainant that the system/well of concern was Sunset Lake, I contacted park onsite manager Sue Hart about possible impacting activity that may have occurred around the time of the collection of the July dbp samples. Sue stated there was a broken faucet that was repaired during the week the sample was collected. Additional chlorine was added after the repair of the faucet. The complaint also included elevated arsenic levels, however, 2008 was the most recent issue with As. A follow up e-mail sent to complainant 8/8 about the dbp and As sampling results and the conversation with Sue Hart. |
