Details: | Spoke with complainant about their lack of water. They stated they have been without water for 2 weeks. The water service had been intermittent since June of 2019, although there have been problems with water service since she moved to the park in 1992. This is the worst it has ever been. The complainant also informed me the owners of the park communicate through a property management company. When they call the company office, the staff is impolite to the tenants, says the City of Rainier is to blame for their water problems, and does not address their complaints. The complainant received a letter from the owners requesting that tenants agree to use less water and collectively accept blame for there not being consistent water service. Unable to confirm letter at this time, however I am expecting a copy to be e-mailed to me to verify. The complainant was also impacted by the rent increase effective on 2/26/2019 from $580 to $700. A copy of the 90 day notice to increase rent was sent to me for verification. Justification listed on the letter states the increase is designed to, "cover adjusted costs & market conditions." |
