| Details: | Alert generated due to lead above MCL at Veneer Plant #2. Sample site showing lead exceedance was previously invalidated as it is a site were water is use to mix glue. This water system requires 3 samples for LCR. Not 5. Operator took 5 one including the invalidated site. Called operator, left message and also contacted compliance to review next steps or see if the sample could be invalidated as it should not included in the sampling schedule. More to come. Water system operator was contacted and advised to submit written documentation to DWs of why sample was taken at invalid sample site, and why 5 samples were taken instead of 3 as required since 2016 due to limited valid sites. | ||
