| Details: | I spoke with Darrel Hensley at JLR regarding a water sample from the entry point that exceeded the MCL for arsenic. The system is currently sampling quarterly for arsenic and the rolling annual average appears to be below the MCL. Darrel reported that he already voluntarily chose to post public notice at the system. He is also collecting special samples from the well and from each of the three arsenic treatment tanks. He hopes these samples will show the arsenic abatement may have failed. He noted that one of the arsenic abatement systems chlorine barrels had run dry. The chlorine has been replaced. The system plans to implement a daily check of chlorine levels in the 55-gallon opaque blue plastic barrels. Darrel believes that one drum typically lasts around a month and a half. The firm will continue with their quarterly sampling of arsenic. | ||
