| Details: | On 10.14.2019 A copy of the L2 investigation report was emailed to DWS Compliance office. On 10.12.2019 I conducted a L2 investigation to address the recent positive Coli results from the repeat samples collected on 10/09/2019. Possible cause identified: broken water line in front of the chlorinator shack. The distribution pipe at this location was leaking and the samples were collected before the repairs were completed. Corrective actions required: 1. Provide a free chlorine DPD testing device. 2. Install a new chlorinator. 3. Replace the garbage container used for mixing chlorine solution with an NSF 61 approved container. 4. Eliminate the gap created by the chord that extends through the top of the well casing. 5. Once all repairs have been completed, disinfect the system. As a reference, consider following the instruction on the DWS Well Disinfection (pdf) technical bulletin for shock chlorinating small distribution systems. Sistem was also instructed to collect the following samples: - Collect a triggered sample by 10/20/2019. - Collect 3 repeat samples by 10/20/2019 - Collect 3 temporary routine samples by 11/30/2019. |
