| Details: | Wayne called to let DWS know that all three repeat samples and the source sample from the spring tested positive for total coliform. The source sample from the well tested absent. Wayne explained that the chlorine injection point was moved to a different location recently. He believes the chlorine is getting more diluted at the new injection point which resulted in a lower than normal chlorine residual and the positive sample results. They plan to move the injection point back to its earlier location to resolve the problem. I reminded him that the residual measurements should be done immediately prior to collecting the samples and be recorded on the lab forms. DWS to schedule survey of the water system in the next few weeks. | ||
