Details: | On 11.04.19 - Informed DW compliance services via email that all corrective actions for the L2 investigation have been completed on 10.17.2019. On 10.24.19 Ms. - Davis reported that all defects found during the L2 investigation have been corrected. Bandon Well came out on October 17th to remove the hanging rope that went into the and sealed the well to prevent contamination from getting into the well. A new faucet for sampling was installed and the chlorination system was repaired by installing a new peristaltic pump and injectors. Bandon Well was also instructed by the operator to remove the broken chlorinator that was up in front of the park near the office. They came back on the 18th to check the chlorine levels and confirm the system was running correctly and the chlorine numbers were normalizing. - The system has purchased a DPD free chlorine testing device. I provided a blank form via email for the operator to start monitoring and recording free chlorine levels in the distributions system. Operator was instructed to measure and record free chlorine residual at one or more representative points at a frequency that is sufficient to detect variations in chlorine demand and changes in water flow at least twice per week. - Regarding the positive TC source water sample (COLI19452),the well was not shocked after eliminating the gap created by the cord that extended through the top of the well casing. I advised Ms. Davis to shock the well. I also informed Ms. Davis that the system will be increased to monthly monitoring because of the L2 investigation. The system will not have to collect temporary routines in November. They will only need to collect one monthly RT sample starting in November. |
