| Details: | I phoned because the due date is approaching for resolving the final significant deficiency and I had not yet heard their plans. I knew they were interested in switching from surface water to the two unused drilled wells on site, even though the well logs showed low yields. However, tests last month showed arsenic in the well water (0.014 and 0.026 mg/L, at the two wells, respectively), so they are abandoning that idea for now due to the costs of arsenic treatment. (I later phoned them to explain the arsenic treatment rules would not apply to their TNC system the same way as to a community system, as their consultant had been thinking.) To address the deficiency with their existing surface water treatment, Jesse said they are considering two other options - asking Jon Woody to run a tracer study, or just adding enough additional storage that the tracer study might be waived. I reiterated that they need to send me a correction action plan - basically, an email stating how they intend to address the deficiency and propose a date that it will be addressed by. Jesse said he would do so before Oct. 31st. |
