| Details: | Three people had contacted me from the Belloni Ranch system this week about changes there, none of which were the designated contact person for the water system, Thujee Lhendup. I reached Thujee today to clear up the confusion. Paul Bock is no longer working there. They considered asking Jim Pinson to return because he has the required operator certifications, but had not yet made a decision. David Orchard continues to do the daily plant operations, though Paul had been doing the readings on the weekends. David is preparing to take the Level 1 examples for Treatment and Distribution. Tim Holmes is still their offsite DRC with the required treatment and distribution certifications. I reviewed with Thujee the chemical monitoring requirements still due in 2019 - nitrate, SOCs and VOCs. Their annual DBP sample was due in September but missed. Although late, it sounds like he plans to collect a DBP sample now to show that their levels continue to be low after operational changes in early 2018. Thujee was interested to hear of other certified operators in the area who may be interested in serving as a contact DRC. I sent him names of three such operators I know of in that area. Meanwhile, Thujee has been promoted to Executive Director after the previous one retired. With those new duties, he may change the contact person for the water system (probably to David Orchard, who works at the treatment plant). He will let me know. |
