| Details: | Country Club Estates operates a treatment facility serving 17 home sites approximately 5 miles south of the city of Coos Bay Oregon. Water supply comes from Coos Bay North Bend Water supply and is gravity fed through piping under the Isthmus Slough approximately 6,000 feet prior to being chlorinated and pumped into a series of tanks which supply the system’s users. The water receives chlorine disinfection and filtration which requires a .5 log inactivation CT. 2-28-18 – A site visit was conducted by Civil West Engineering, and a tracer methodology prepared and submitted to OHA for approval prior to scheduling the tracer study, based on the current system configuration. Two issues regarding the system configuration were noted during the methodology review by OHA that were deemed to require modification prior to conducting the tracer study. 1. Chlorine dosing must correspond to the water flow. 2. Due to the tank plumbing configuration, an additional sampling location is to be plumbed after the first tank (Tank #3) in the treatment building, as this is deemed the ideal sampling location for the tracer study. 3. The state will require a sketch or plan of the proposed changes. Tracer study to be scheduled upon completion of system modifications and OHA tracer methodology review. |
