Details: Called operator to discuss protocols after receiving an E. coli positive source sample. Advised operator to collect 5 confirmation samples at the source (same site as positive)today. Advised to contact lab first to make sure they will be open and accepting samples today. Requested operator send me the name and model number of the UV system that is in use. Reviewed sampling protocols. Operator states that after faucet is flushed she adjusts stream and takes sample. I advised to flush, them set stream where it should be for taking a sample, but to let it run a couple more minutes before collecting sample. Advised to review sampling procedures provided with sample bottle.
