Details: | Chris Janigo Received a call from Kari Dawson requesting assistance on their system. Kari had outlined a couple issues with their system and requested a facility assessment. Chris met onsite with the Principal, Dawn Bolotow, and the Water System Operator Kari Dawson to discuss the improvements. The possible improvements are as followed: The above ground fuel storage tank secondary containment or relocation (the fuel tank that has heating fuel for the school is located too close to the well). Replacement of water line from the well to the school. Installation of a generator for backup power: There is no storage for the system, therefore when they lose power they also loose water pressure and need to issue a boil water notice. The backup generator would prevent this. Installation of housing around the wellhead to protect it from vandalism- the wellhead is out in the open, protected by some bollards but aside from this exposed and vulnerable. Chris Janigo conducted a facility assessment. He assisted with outlining a priority list of required projects for source water protection and DWSRF Infrastructure forgivable loan. The assessment was conducted on March 9th which was the due date for the Source protection LOI so all the projects outlined would need to get processed as DWSRF Infrastructure projects. Chris advised using Circuit Rider services to help prepare the LOI and provide preliminary cost estimates for the work. |
