| Details: | The Mountain Terrace MHP recently added a new well to their water system and is now receiving approximately 0.02 mg/L of arsenic which is above the MCL of 0.01 mg/L. On 1/19/17 Stephan Stys reviewed the microscopic particulate analysis and was able to determine that it would be best to use an absorption process to remove the arsenic. This process should be installed after all filtration has been performed. A modified activated alumina could be used for absorption as well as other absorption media. It would be beneficial to use a system that can use different absorption media to be able to determine what media works best. It is recommended that modified activated alumina is used initially to determine a baseline removal to compare other absorptive media. Sent to Craig Bennett on 1/19/2018 | ||
