| Details: | I spoke with the operator at Rodeway Inn Rice Hill, Tarlochan Singh. The operator reports he is taking the sample directly from Well #2's inlet ,sanitizing the tap and allowing the water to run for 5 minutes before sampling. He is no longer sampling from the hose (which has been a potential source of contamination in the past). Tarlochan reports he has spoken with the state and will be taking his 5 confirmation source samples tomorrow morning (5/24/19). He reportedly spoke with the lab to confirm their holiday hours. The lab will be open to submit samples tomorrow but will be closed on 12/25 and then open 12/26. I conveyed to the operator that he should submit samples as soon as possible and to be prepared for a boil water notice if any of the 5 samples come back positive for e-coli. System does have chlorination but it does not have the retention time for disinfection (chlorine is for taste/odor purposes). |
