| Details: | SUMMARY: Exceeded copper AL again DETAILS: Bob called because he couldnt get a hold of Karen K or John P and he has a board meeting this evening. He just got the lead and copper results back. I walked him through the 90th percentile calculation over the phone. It looks like he exceeded the level for copper, but not lead. He said they are already practicing corrosion control. He wasnt sure what pH they were running it at, he will ask the operator. The minimum is set at 7.2. I suggested that the operator take daily pH readings for a couple weeks to see if they are getting a lot of fluccuation. I suggested that a re-evaluation of their treatment process may be necessary, but that he should talk to Karen or John about specifics. I directed him to the copper health effects sheet, and we discussed precautions to take, such as flushing the lines out before drinking. ACTION NEEDED: Karen or John will work with operator on resolving the issue. | ||
