Details:	New ownership planning to re-open in May 2020. On 01.13.2020 I discussed the steps needed to reactivate this water system. Licensing of the lodging and food service facility is contingent upon providing safe water. Test results of past water samples collected between 2006 and 2008 suggest a possible contamination of the source used at Half Moon Bar. In order to rule out this possibility, prior to reactivating the system the operator must first ensure the water is safe. Next steps: 1. The operator will collect a Special water sample from the well and get it tested at a certified lab. A copy of the lab results will be emailed to me. No corrective actions (chlorination) should be taken before collecting the water sample. Doing this could mask an existing issue causing contamination of the source. A list of State approved labs was provided via email. 2. Mr. Ross will search for the well construction log. 3. I requested pictures of the well and surrounding area. A Coliform fact sheet was provided for reference.
