| Details: | SUMMARY: Tech asisst re intake issues DETAILS: Visited City to inspect erosion of Cow Creek caused by recent heavy rains. Ned is concerned that erosion of the bank opposite of the Citys buried intake structure will cause problems this summer by drawing the creek further away from the intake. This was a problem last summer, when low flows and the gradual shifting of the creek caused problems related to low suction head at the pumps. The City is applying to FEMA and USDA Rural Development for grants or loans to finance an engineered diversion project within the creek, involving driven pilings and a"log-jam" diversion wall. ACTION NEEDED: Follow progress. Support City s funding applications if requested. | ||
