Details: | Martin just found an email from me from Nov, 14, 2019, in which I asked him to resubmit the October SWTR after filling in the "CT required" column. I had also asked about the consistency in values over time for temperature and pH, both from day to day and in the reports received from year to year. He just sent me an updated October 2019 treatment report with the CT column filled in. I sent it to compliance staff for the file. He also included this response about the apparent consistency in water quality parameters: "The system draws its water from Clay Hill Creek near a natural spring. The entire watercourse is within a designated wilderness miles from the nearest road... The creek canyon receives little or no direct sunlight depending on the time of the year. The water tank is predominately buried in the ground in an area of constant shade. My temperature readings are taken in the early morning. The temperature varies little and almost never during any given month. The PH has rarely varied from 7.2 in 19 years of testing and it is unusual that it was actually 7.1 for one of the days on the report. If as you stated in your letter it is 'very unusual for one of those numbers not to change' you are always welcome to come in and inspect my system." In the file, I found that the water is chlorinated at a 1,000 gal storage tank. There is with another 300 yards of pipe from the tank to the lodge. |
