| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform routine sample collected 2/7/2006 DETAILS: Steve called on 2/9/2006 to report a positive total coliform routine sample collected 2/7/2006. I spoke with him on 2/13/2006. He will collect the required four repeat samples on 2/14/2006. He has already checked the wells and treatment system visually and found no problems. Sdwis shows the positive coliform sample had a chlorine residual of only 0.01 mg/L. I asked Steve if this was accurate and he admitted that it was only a guess and he has not been checking free chlorine residuals because he is out of reagent. I told him he must get new reagent and begin checking free chlorine residuals daily as well as checking at each sample location when collecting coliform samples. In addition, I told him to keep a minimum free chlorine residual of 0.2 mg/L in the system at all times. ACTION NEEDED: Steve will attemp to borrow some reagents for his chlorine test kit from the City of Westfir. Steve will call me with the results of the repeat samples. | ||
