Details: SUMMARY: 3/23/06 Routine Sample TC+ DETAILS: On 3/27/06, I called and spoke with Marty Wilder regarding the 3/23/06 TC+ sample. Marty was unaware of the positive sample since Scott, his counterpart, had collected the sample. Marty said hed speak with Scott today and get back to me. On 3/28/06, I called and spoke with Marty again. Marty said the sample was collected at the kitchen sink and he suspects Scott was in a hurry and did not adequately disinfect the faucet. The free chlorine residual was over 1 ppm (pretty pink) but Marty did not have the exact reading. I asked if anyone had inspected the chlorinator and Marty said they just filled the stock tank. Marty said Scott collected the four repeat samples yesterday. I advised Marty to watch Scott collect the sample(s) next time and to read our fact sheet on proper microbiological sampling techniques. Marty will call me once the repeat samples are known. Also, I instructed Marty to make sure and call us w/i 24 hours when any samples test positive. The lab notified them of the results last Friday so he could not reach us. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of the repeat samples.
