| Details: | SUMMARY: Arsenic MCL Exceedance of 0.022 mg/l DETAILS: On 3/7/06, I called Henry Green to discuss the arsenic sample collected on 3/3/06. The test results have been R&C above the new MCL of 0.010 mg/l. Henry said the water softener might be interfering with the treatment process and uses lots of water so he might explore other treatment options. I requested Henry investigate further and to continue sampling (make sure sample collected after RO unit) quarterly for arsenic and report the test results to our office. I faxed Henry a PN template and instructions and a fact sheet on arsenic treatment and told him to send us a copy of the PN. If the arsenic RAA continues above the new MCL, other types of treatment should be sought. See contact report in the file for more info. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for 2nd Qt. arsenic test results and reevaluate. Henry will call Roger Bevins (541-998-3206) at Ecowater Systems in Junction City and report back to me. | ||
