Details: I contacted Phil to find out when the cartridge filters for the emergency surface source would be replaced with LT-2 compliant filters and housing as per the recent plan review and informal compliance schedule due date of 12/31/19. Filters and housing has arrived on-site, but has not been installed due to excessive snow at the lodge causing logistical difficulties accessing area to remove old pair of filters/housing with new pair. Phil expects to complete replacement and have new filters on-line within the next two weeks (mid-February). Job will occur on weekdays and while going off storage and the well. During call, Phil indicated emergency surface source has been used since mid-October, due to the horizontal well drying up. DWS had not received any surface water treatment monthly reports for this period.

Phil and I discussed:
1. DWS priority to replace existing filters with crypto-rated LT-2 filters as soon as possible. Enforcement likely if this extends beyond next 2 weeks. DWS to issue final approval when complete.
2. Begin completing monthly surface water reports with filtered turbidity and disinfection CT data.
3. Phil has ordered new portable turbidimeter to arrive early next week, as onsite meter is unreliable. Report grab combined filter readings daily.
4. PSID's across old PP-T-1 filters are below Harmsco indicated 20 psids. All 6 filters replaced in Oct 2019. Enter psid info on monthly reports.
5. CT's for 1-log giardia met with 10% estimated baffling factor in parallel 200,000 and 50,000 gallon tanks, and pipe flow to and from tanks, with peak demand flow.
6. Tracer study is required for storage reservoir contact time.
7. As surface source to be used at least through this ski season, DWS to become regulatory agency with survey/site visit occurring in 2020.
8. System to re-build a well source to be used exclusively, next season with surface source back to emergency availability.
