| Details: | SUMMARY: Invalidation of coliform MCL violation for 2nd quarter 2006 requested. DETAILS: After speaking with Cathy Ryhne, book-keeper for El Rey Mexican Restaurant, I am requesting from our Data Management & Compliance unit that the original routine coliform sample for 2nd quarter collected 4/17 and positive repeat collected 4/20 be invalidated and resulting MCL violation be removed from sdwis. The positive sample was collected from a heavily used food prep sink. The only repeat that was positive was collected from this same prep sink faucet. The operator replaced the faucet and collected a routine sample from both the new faucet and the sample tap closest to the well on 4/25, both of which were absent. The new routine samples collected 4/25 should replace the original routine collected 4/17. I also instructed Cathy to discontinue using the prep sink faucet for coliform sampling as it is a source of bacteria and is not representative of the drinking water quality. ACTION NEEDED: DMCA to consider invalidating original routine sample 4/17 and repeat 4/20 along with resulting MCL violation. Five routine samples for May 2006 are not required. | ||
