Details: On February 7, I called Kathy McMullen regarding City of Prescott's Arsenic water sample which exceeded the MCL. I told Kathy that a confirmation water sample for arsenic would need to be collected as soon as possible, but within a maximum timeline 2 weeks, or 14 days. City of Prescott's water system is also to switch to a quarterly sampling schedule for arsenic until further notice.
Also an RAA - Running Annual Average will be calculated after the next sample(s) for arsenic are received.
The system has treatment elements for arsenic removal and filtration. Kathy McMullen said during the call that they may need to re-bed the filter. She mentioned that City of Prescott's water system will work to get a plan of corrective action done by this next Monday.
I calculated an RAA for City of Prescott today and from 2/2019 to today, their annual average is currently at 0.0092, just barely under the MCL.
