| Details: | SUMMARY: Coordination meeting on environmental review - SRF Application # 033002341 DETAILS: The City of Sweet Home hosted a multi-agency coordination meeting to discuss the status of their SRF Application #033002341 and the associated environmental review requirements. 3 key points made regarding DWP involvement: (1) DWP is currently focused on big picture issues - SRF $ is federal monies which dictates full environmental review reqs be met or exceeded. Must get all agency review and comments up front. (2) City is under Administrative Order to improve WTP/system, and this approach is their approved and negotiated plan of action. Extensions have been issued, with a current deadline of August 2006 -- potential for civil penalties if deadline is not met. (3) OECDD administers the $4M loan under the SRF, and no $ will be released until ALL env review and plan review reqs are met. See contact report in file for more details. ACTION NEEDED: DWP will continue to work closely with City to complete environmental review process and issue funds asap. |
