| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform routine and repeat samples 5/31 & 6/2, 2006. DETAILS: Mr. Kirchner called to report a positive total coliform routine sample was collected on 5/31/2006 at the womens restroom sink by Delta Environmental Services staff. Kevin collected the required 4 repeat samples on 6/2/2006 at the womens restroom sink, the mens restroom sink, the bar sink and the kitchen hand washing sink. He received the results today that both the mens and womens restroom sinks were still positive for total coliform. Kevin believes the problem is with the bathroom faucets only since the front of the water system is negative for coliform and the end of the system (in restrooms) is positive. He wants to prove his theory before shock chlorinating by sampling all four sites again. I emailed Kevin the fact sheet on coliform bacteria with shock chlorination instructions and the public notice template with instructions. Kevin will call me with the results of his additional samples to determine if its possible to invalidate the initial routine and repeat samples. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of additional samples and copy of the public notice. | ||
