| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform routine and repeat samples 5/31 through 6/2, 2006 DETAILS: Bruce was on vacation when a positive routine total coliform bacteria sample was collected and reported by Delta Environmental Services on 5/31/06. An additional 8 repeat samples were collected on 6/2/06. Three of the 8 samples were also positive for total coliform. Bruce will work with the UV light installer, Randy Reitz of Oregon Water Services to assure the UV is functioning and the alarm systems work. This may be a problem within the distribution since they do not add chlorine for residual maintenance. I recommended Bruce shock chlorinate the system (including the well if it will not adversly affect the UV and GFH treatment systems). Bruce instructed the office staff to complete public notice and will send a copy to me. I also instructed Bruce to collect another 5 routine samples by the end of June to return to compliance. ACTION NEEDED: Await public notice and 5 routine samples for June. | ||
