| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert follow-up DETAILS: Spoke with Russell regarding the 6.9 mg/L nitrate result from Well #1. They currently treat nitrates by strategically blending waters from Wells #4 & 5. Generally, the nitrate levels at the entry point is 2 mg/L less than Well #1s level. Well #1 is sampled quartely, while Wells #4 & 5 are sampled annually. If the nitrate results in Well #1 exceed 8 mg/L, samples are sent to an independent lab for weekly analysis until levels recede. ACTION NEEDED: Be aware the nitrate results sent in as EP compliance results are likely from an individual well. They are seeking nitrate treatment processes for the future. |
