| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Notice after loss in system pressure on 6/30/06 DETAILS: Pamela, manager of Oaks MHP called in to Tom Charbonneau to report the system had been out of water since Friday June 30. Randy Reitz of Oregon Water Services has been contracted to repair the system. According to Pamela and Randy, a mouse had eaten through some wiring in the pump house which caused the well pump to burn out. The problem was not detected until the system was out of water. I confirmed this information with Pamela this afternoon and faxed to her instructions on issuing a boil water notice along with a coli form bacterial health effects fact sheet. Pamela expects Randy to have completed the repair by 8 pm tonight and begin pumping water back into the system with the appropriate continuous chlorination. I instructed Pamela to distribute the notice to all homes asap and to send a copy back to me to get credit for issuing notice. They must remain on the boil water notice until the system has been flushed chlorine residual maintained, pressure restored and a coli form sample with negative results. ACTION NEEDED: Await copy of public notice and sample results following repair and flush. | ||
