| Details: | SUMMARY: Ongoing Arsenic Results Above MCL. DETAILS: After several attempts at reaching Pastor Green, we spoke over the phone today regarding arsenic sample results in April and May 2006. Both sample results were again > 0.010 mg/L. Since March, Pastor Green said they have replaced the RO filter. However, the AS results have only decreased from 0.0220 to 0.0160 mg/L. We discussed the need to evaluate their treatment options and return to compliance before the end of 2006. I mailed a list of Best Available Technologies, Step #5 information from the EPA Small System Guidance Manual and information on granular ferric hydroxide treatment units. I recommended they contact a water treatment professional and/or consulting engineer to help them evaluate these options. Pastor Green will keep me informed of their progress. ACTION NEEDED: Continue tracking quarterly AS results and provide assistance to the system as necessary. | ||
