Details: | SUMMARY: Routine coliform sample collected 6/30/06 tested positive for E.coli. DETAILS: 7/3/06- I spoke with the ranger at the park (Curtis) and determined that they had already posted public notice and submitted four resample. 7/6/06- Spoke with Bob Kamody who verified that public notice was posted on the well and storage tanks were shock chlorinated at 50 ppm-plus. 7/2/06 All four resamples were negative for total coliform. Bob feels that this was probably a result of the automatic chlorinator malfunctioning and yielding 0.2 ppm and also a result of the new ranger Curtis over-diluting the chlorine solution. The chlorinator is now yielding 5 ppm. ACTION NEEDED: Five routine samples need to be submitted in the month of July. Bob also intends to do some additional investigation on the well and storage tank with special samples. |
