| Details: | SUMMARY: Two out of four repeat samples collected 7/10/06 tested psotiive for TC DETAILS: Four repeat samples were taken (spaces 19,26,39, and at the well head). Repeat samples at spaces 26 and 39 were positive for total coliform. After the repeat sampling, the well and storage tanks were shock-chlorinated and the tanks were drained to waist to half volume. Public notice was posted prior to confirmation of positive repeat results. The operator intends to take a special sample at space 26 (this unit is farthest from the source in the distribution system) after the chlorine level in the system is tested to be below 0 ppm. ACTION NEEDED: Special samples should be taken after the chlorine residual is down to 0 ppm to verify that the chlorine shock was effective. Five routine samples need to be collected in the month of August. | ||
