| Details: | SUMMARY: TC Positive Alert Response DETAILS: Spoke with the maintenance person, Kari. The chlorinator was shut off for the summer when this sample was collected, so there was no residual. Students will not be back until August 21. Also, an unsealed bottle meant for nitrate samples was used instead of a typical coliform bottle. Kari said the bottle had a small amount of liquid in it, and she rinsed it out before collecting the bacteria sample. I told her this sample result should not be regarded as representative of water being served to the public. Kari will restart the chlorinator next week and collect another bacteria sample when there is a chlorine residual. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to resample fro coliform after chlorinator is working. | ||
