| Details: | SUMMARY: TC positive Alert Response DETAILS: 8/2/06-Routine monthly sample tests positive TC. 8/8/06-Four repeats samples were collected, all 4 were TC positive. 8-10-06 spoke with Bruce and Rena regarding disinfection methods. A new screen was installed over the top of the well casing to prevent animal intrusions. 8/14, 8/17 samples collected from the wellhead tested TC positive. System began using their backup well (Olson St) starting about August 15. 8-22-06- Bruce chlorinated the school well using two calcium hypochlorite biscuits and one gallon of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite. The well sat unused for four days, then was pumped. 8/25/06 - I mailed a public notice for the August MCI violation to the City with distribution instructions. 8-28-06 - Bruce collected a coliform sample at the school well and it tested TC positive. 8-31-06 Made a site visit. Collected colifrom samples at both wellheads, and at City Hall. Recommended opening the hydrant near the school well and flushing the well thoroughly. 9-1-06 Received results of coliform samples. Olson St well -TC/FC absent ACTION NEEDED: PWS to distribute public notice, collect five routine samples in September. | ||
