| Details: | SUMMARY: complaint about chlorine in water DETAILS: Brian called because he is concerned about the change in water quality in the water system. He says that the system has not needed to chlorinate for years, but in the last 8 months they have had several problems that have caused them to chlorinate the system. Now the chlorine level is 1 ppm according to his hot tub chlorine test kit. I explained to him that that is a normal level considering they have had several total coliform positives in august. I also said that the chlorine is necessary if there is a bacteria problem. He said the pH is also above 8, and now they get white spots after washing the car, dishes, etc. I told him its doubtful that they are treating the water with anything other than chlorine. I refered him to Clackamas county and also left a message for Gregg Baird at the County. ACTION NEEDED: he will talk to county. | ||
