| Details: | SUMMARY: One of four repeat samples collected on 8-30-06 tested positive for TC DETAILS: 9-5-06 - Wendy informed me that the positive repeat sample was from an outside hose bib and that the source water tested negative (at the pressure tank sample tap). Because shock chlorinating the entire system from the well is the only way to disinfect and school is in session, Wendy would like to try resampling prior to disinfection. Because the source water tested negative I told her that w could submit one of five routine samples required this month prior to shocking the well. I will do a Sanitary Survey of this system on Thursday 9-7-06. At that time I will collect a sample from the tap that tested positive on the last round of repeats. If that sample is negative we will collect the remaining four routine samples. If all four are negative we will consider the problem resolved. If any samples are positive, the system will be shock chlorinated at the well. Public Notice has been issued for a Tier Two MCL violation. ACTION NEEDED: Five routine samples need to be collected in the month of September. | ||
