| Details: | On 10-16-2019 a meeting at the City of Powers occurred. Water system topics that were discussed during that meeting included a general discussion of their water system operations. The sources, treatment and storage facilities were generally discussed. They discussed the distribution system and inquired about mapping that may exist and asked if the Circuit Rider could help locate and provide copies of system maps that may exist. The City then indicated a concern with the control system at the plant. They indicated that Camtronics based in Camas Valley had been helping them with their control system. They wanted to back up the controls but were told they could not because of the operating system the plant was operating on. Assistance provided included investigating prior mapping efforts and we located maps form the prior water master planning effort and forwarded the maps for their use and files. We reached out to a water controls engineer and discussed the concerns about the operating system, and they indicated a similar concern about age of the operating system, but they indicated that a more in-depth field investigation would be needed to determine the best solution. Schedule a more detailed and focused review, evaluation and recommendation that would outline potential options to allow them to back up the WTP control system. |
