| Details: | SUMMARY: chlorinator problems - WQ OK DETAILS: Jim called to report that the electricity had gone out due to the storm, and when it came back on, the chlorinator flow-pace pump was shorted and stopped working. During the outage, the well pump wasnt working either, so they were operating on storage of chlorinated water. When the electricity came back on, Jim realized the chlorinator wasnt working properly, so he switched it over the pulse feed rather than flow-paced. Someone is coming out to work on it at 10 am. He took chlorine residuals around the system and the lowest was 0.14 ppm. When the flow-pace function is fixed, he will up the chlorine a bit to fill the tank with higher-chlorinated water to mix with the low chlorine water. No water quality problems, no need for extra coliform sampling or public notice. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
