| Details: | SUMMARY: Assistance in flow meter relocation and piping reconfigurations DETAILS: The Corbett Water District serves approximately 3000 persons through an extensive rural water system. The treatment plant was recently expended. This plant is a slow sand filter with 3 basins. Currently, the District is experiencing problems with plan hydraulics causing the new flow meter to read incorrectly. The Operator contacted the Circuit Rider to investigate possible installation changes. Actions Performed: Visited District WTP. Reviewed current installation of flow meter to determine that the location is not he most appropriate for accurate readings. Composed recommendation report detailing relocation of existing flow meter, reconfiguration of existing piping, and providing control valve to prevent sand filters from running dry during emergency conditions.
