| Details: | SUMMARY: Monitoring and reporting violations for nitrate DETAILS: I spoke with Brandon Goodin on 02/15/07 because the system has not sampled for Nitrate since Oct. 2005. MCL was exceeded at 13.0 mg/L in Jan., Feb., and July 2003. October 2005 sample was 7.5 mg/L. Karen Kelley spoke with this system in Nov. 2003 (see contact report in file). Treatment was researched by the system, but not applied. Since this is a small state-regulated system, enforcement has not been pursued, however, the residents have been informed of the situation in the past. I mailed a copy of the Nitrate Health Effects fact sheet and the Tier 3 Monitoring/Reporting Public Notice template and Brandon said he would make sure to distribute these to the residents and make sure all future residents know of the situation. | ||
