| Details: | SUMMARY: One of two routine samples collected on 01/02/06 tested positive for Total Coliform. DETAILS: 01/03/07- The well passed and the kitchen sink failed (again). Preston thinks that the problem might be the housing of the charcoal filter on the kitchen sink line. Although the charcoal element was removed, the housing is still in place. He will collect a special sample at the tap immediately prior to the housing. If this sample is positive he will replace the kitchen sink fixture. 01/08/07- Two special samples failed (pre-charcoal filter housing and kitchen sink). I spoke with Preston. He turned in a sample collected at the well again today. He said that he is going to work his way down the line testing every tap along the way. I talked to him about the possibility of a break in the line somewhere. He said that there is no system pressure loss. Preston is very concerned and has chosen to take the extra precaution of using only bottled water. 01/09/07- The sample collected at the well tested positive for Total Coliform. I called and left a message for Preston explaining that there is probably low level Total Coliform present and that he is going to have to chlorinate again. 01/19/07- One special sample collected at the kitchen passed. ACTION NEEDED: Five routine samples need to be collected in the month of February. |
