Details: DETAILS: System 2006 nitrate was 8 ppm. System has had elevated nitrates for at least 13 years. Have been working with this system for many years regarding nitrate health effects, public notice, etc. Discussed options of treatment, reducing nitrate loading and alternate sources with Cary Mathews. Cary owns property next door and can use well on his property if needed in future. Will continue to monitor and see what happens. ACTION NEEDED: Take an additional nitrate sample in early spring to see any seasonal variability (2/yr total). If necessary to hook to alternate source in future. Well will need plan review, IOC, etc. before being placed into use.
