Details: | Spoke with Monica Carter and Stacey Harris regarding the recent waterline break. Their goal is to get the main line fixed as soon as possible, hopefully within a month's time. They did not de-water any lines or lose full pressure in the system. When the line broke they utilized a bypass valve to re-route the water from the tank and then down through the system. Additionally the bypass line goes through the chlorinator too. They will be sending an incident notice to the residents/employees, but given that they didn't lose pressure they will not be issuing a boil notice advisory NCPHD provided, via email, two BMP's: BMP Service Outages and BMP Repair Water Mains, as well as Boil Notice advisory and FAQ's on Boil notice if they decide to issue a notice. UPDATE 3/12/2020 Spoke with Monica Carter and they conducted a spot test for chlorine and it showed a positive test result for chlorine in the system. |
