| Details: | SUMMARY: Continued problem with elevated DBPs DETAILS: On Nov 1 06, Kari Salis, John Odisio and I met with Thor Sorenson to discuss the elevated DBP levels in the water system. The alert issued Oct 11 06 is an artifact of what I believe to be multiple reporting by the county. However, the DBP levels trends are up. We agreed to the following. 1. The chlorine injection point will be moved to after the raw water filter but before the clear well. 2. Test for DBPs at the ends of the system, at the wastewater plant, and at the chip test shack. 3. Thor expressed his objective is to not allow DBP levels to rise above 50 percent MCL. 4. Because the current DBP levels are at 80 percent MCL, Thor agreed to develop a disinfection profile. ACTION NEEDED: We will contact Thor approx. 11/9/06 to see if the chlorine injection point has been moved. After that, we will monitor DBP levels to see if the change helps. We will review the disinfection profile document. (Note- Resolve alert) | ||
